Directions

Mangawhai Lodge is set in the North Island of New Zealand, 80 minutes drive north of Central Auckland on Northland’s picture postcard east coast.

From Auckland: Drive north on SH1.  Turn left into Wayby Valley Rd at the end of the Dome valley. Follow the signage to Mangawhai.   

At Mangawhai Village turn right at T junction into Moirs St then sharp left into Molesworth Drive (signage to Mangawhai Heads).

Drive 3.5 km and turn right into Moirs Point Rd.                                             (if you go past the Golf Course entrance you have gone to far)

Mangawhai Lodge’s driveway is directly in front of you at the corner of Heather Street and Moir Point Rd.                                                                      Drive up and park in the safe parking at rear.                                        There is a fisheye mirror to show if any traffic is coming down the drive.

From Whangarei turn left off SH1 at the Waipu turnoff, follow Twin Coast Route South to Mangawhai Heads. Turn right at the round about into Molesworth Drive and drive 1.6 km.  Take first left road (Moirs Point Rd) past golf course entrance.  Mangawhai Lodge driveway is immediately in front up a steep drive with parking at rear.
